La Jenny

The La Jenny Naturist Village opened in 1983 in a remote pine forest of nearly 300 acres. It has a wide range of activities and facilities for all ages. Detached bungalows and studio blocks nestle among the trees in quiet residential areas.  La Jenny's capacity is for a miximum of  2,500 residents. A close-to-nature concept is evident throughout, and all the staff are naturists.

Location

Away from it all, La Jenny is situated 40 miles west of Bordeaux on France’s Côte d’Argent, where the warm Gulf Stream ensures a surprisingly mild climate. The nearest village is Le Porge, six miles away.

The Beach

The golden sandy beach is a pleasant 20-minute, naturist walk away from La Jenny, through the endless pine forest (nature conservation area) and over the sand dunes. There is also a bicycle path and by bike it takes only a few minutes to the large bicycle park behind the beach. This part of France is very sparsely populated. Therefore, this fine naturist beach is almost open-ended for walking, although life guards supervise only one section of the beach. There are cold showers near the beach.

Naturism at La Jenny

As a nude lifestyle resort, nudity is obligatory (weather permitting) throughout the park and certainly in and around the pool area. In the evening most holidaymakers dine outside, au naturel.

Food & Drink

There is a restaurant, bar and pizzeria-snack bar serving a wide variety of dishes.

Facilities

There is a supermarket and greengrocer, international phone boxes and washing machines. Baby-sitting is available at a nominal charge. Credit cards are accepted in the supermarket, restaurant, bar and for the rental deposit (minimum €15). WiFi access is payable.

Activities

Gymnastics, yoga, archery, aerobics, keep-fit and water polo are organised. Tennis lessons, diving lessons in the pool, sauna, fitness centre, massages are available at a nominal charge, as are golfing and golf lessons on a four hole training course. Bicycles may be hired at reasonable rates (seats for toddlers can be fitted for a small charge).

La Jenny Club

La Jenny Club facilties and activities are for members only so temporary membership is obligatory. We automatically arrange this for you and add the cost (see price table) to your holiday invoice. Membership gives you access to the following facilities mainly from June 14 to August 23:

• magnificent pool of nearly 1,200 sq. yds. – heated to 25°C
• 10 tennis courts, table tennis, and volleyball
• training wall
• karaoke
• supervised clubs for kids (3-11 yrs) and activities for teenagers (12-17 yrs)
• pony club for children

There are concerts, dances and shows arranged at La Jenny.
