Set in beautiful parklands with a stunning coastline, Koversada is Croatia’s longest established naturist park. The resort has been well developed and equipped and enjoys an excellent international reputation.
Location
Situated on the northern side of the Limfjord, on the sunny Istrian peninsula, Koversada is approximately 97km south of Trieste. The resort is named after the Island of Koversada, situated 180m offshore and linked by a footbridge, and from where naturist activities have spread over the years. The region was part of Italy until the end of World War II, and the Italian influence, particularly in architecture, is still strong. Everywhere, you’ll come across place names on road signs in both Italian and Croatian.
The Beach
The Istrian coastline has rock and pebble bays where sunbathing platforms and access to the sea for swimming have been built. There is a large sandy area for children by the sea, and showers (cold) are provided around the park.
Naturism at Koversada Naturist Park
Koversada operates as a full naturist resort. Guests can remain nude all day and night if they wish. However guests are asked to dress to eat in the indoor restaurants and dining room and, as is the growing practice, more people seem to be dressing in the evenings. Clothing is also required whilst shopping in the on-site supermarkets.
Food & Drink
Our customers take their half board arrangements in the air-conditioned dining room which offers self-service buffets for breakfast and dinner. Whilst the dining room is easily accessible from the standard rooms, it is about a 20 minute walk from the new self catering apartments in the Blesicka area. There are a further five restaurants including the grill and the island restaurants with al fresco terraces. In the open air one may eat nude.
Facilities
Within the grounds are two supermarkets, money-changing facilities, cash dispensers and newsagents.
Activities
There is a sports centre with equipment for hire including deck chairs, bicycles, sailing and rowing boats. There are opportunities for volleyball, badminton, mini-golf and tennis.
Entertainment
In the main restaurant, or on its outdoor terrace, there is music most evenings. During the main season, there are also occasional folklore evenings and ‘Miss and Mr Koversada’ contests in August. Entertainment can also be found in nearby Vrsar, where there is a monthly fisherman’s festival with an opportunity to enjoy a Friday night out with the locals.
