Le Cap d’Agde by Night
Cap d’Agde after dark brings a sizzling parade of the sexiest, sauciest, most outrageous outfits you might ever see in public. The resort is full of stores selling sexy clothing, fetish wear, all manner of leather and rubber body cladding, bondage equipment and S&M paraphernalia.
Cap d’Agde has a great selection of bars, restaurants and clubs to suit all tastes. The many bars in Cap d’Agde range from the likes of the elegant Eden Bar, with its large screens showing music and sports videos; to Johnny Wokkers, a small busy bar just off the beach with a terrace looking out to the sea beyond Cap d’Agde. There is also a dedicated TV bar with all the characters from ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’ in evidence, and quiet poolside bars serving delicious cocktails.
Live music abounds in le Cap d’Agde and is to be found in one, if not more, of the bars almost every night of the week. Cap d’Agde’s newly refurbished Le Folys, is a dinner/dance cabaret bar with different acts throughout the week and a varied menu.
Choosing one of the many restaurants in which to eat in Cap d’Agde is probably the hardest part of the evening. Fresh fish and seafood abound, as you would expect with Cap d’Agde being so close to the sea, but there is also a wide choice of both menus and venues to suit all tastes. Prices are reasonable and restaurants open until late evening, especially at weekends when Cap d’Agde really lets rip!
Le Cap d’Agde Club Scene
The liberated club scene in Cap d’Agde really is world class. There are no less than five dedicated libertine clubs where literally anything goes. Clubs are squarely aimed at couples, and although one or two will allow single men to enter, they are charged high entry fees. Clubs in Cap d’Agde are normally open until around 5am. Whereas the ‘anything goes’ mentality mentioned above is very much in evidence, poor behaviour is not allowed, so there is little need to feel apprehensive in any of the nightclubs in Cap d’Agde.
Le Glamour in Cap d’Agde is one of the best-known libertine clubs in the world. An outdoor sushi bar leads in to an elegant dance floor and bar, but it’s downstairs where the action really hots up! On the other hand, Le Juls is smaller and more intimate, but the separate playroom and showers attract couples and groups into their dark corners. The bar and dance floor are tastefully furnished and comfortable, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Port Ambonne contains Le Pharon (free entry to couples), and Les Jeux a Main which are smaller, more intimate clubs. There is even a dedicated BDSM club, Clair Obscure where the dress code is restricted to leather, rubber and latex - although they will normally make an exception for black clothing.
