Peng France is the supplier of most of the accommodation we use in Cap d’Agde. A French company, it was established by the previous owner of Peng Travel (hence the same name), however the companies are completely separate entities and no longer related. As Peng France was initially set up especially to supply Peng Travel, the service is tailored to the requirements of a British tour operation and British preferences.
Style of Peng France Accommodation
As all the Peng France accommodation is privately owned, styles and furnishings vary quite considerably and owners tend to add, remove or change things during the season. Standard accommodation is modest and most has a balcony or patio. The French are great at squeezing a sleeping place out of every last corner which means that, at maximum occupancy, space becomes rather limited. This might be fine if you don’t mind a squeeze or don’t intend to spend any time in the apartment but generally we would recommend that you choose a larger apartment and use the empty sleeping area for additional space and comfort. Peng France accommodation is fully furnished and the kitchenette is equipped with electric hob, fridge, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery; some have coffee makers and microwaves as well.
Superior Accommodation
Much of the accommodation in Cap d’Agde remains as it was built and decorated in the ‘70’s. However, there is a selection of Peng France accommodation that has since been renovated. Although not luxurious, these are generally better laid out, with newer furnishings and more pleasing décor than the standard accommodation. Some of the superior accommodation is equipped with air-conditioning and a supplement is payable for these apartments.
Cabines
Some accommodation is described as having a cabine. This is a sleeping area (usually an alcove or recess) just big enough to take a bed.
Apartment Service
Peng France apartments will generally be available from 17:00 on the day of arrival and need to be vacated by 10:00 on day of departure. The intervening time is required for cleaning ready for the next occupants. On arrival you will be asked to provide a deposit for the apartment (refundable at the end of your stay provided there is no loss, damage or unreasonable cleaning requirement). You will be given a set of keys plus a bag of linen containing your bedlinen, shower towels (not as large as bath towels), bathmat and tea towel. If you are staying for longer than a week, you may collect clean replacements at the end of each week. Although many apartments are equipped with satellite TV, English channels are not guaranteed.
