Gran Hotel Elba Estepona - a nearly naturist option

This deluxe hotel offers its guests a high standard of comfort and service in elegant surroundings. Although it has no naturist facilities of its own, Peng Travel has arranged for its customers to use the facilities of the Costa Natura naturist resort next door. Close to Estepona and its bustling streets and marina, this area also offers a wealth of activities and sightseeing possibilities to keep the visitor busy.

Location

On Spain’s sunny Costa del Sol on the outskirts of Estepona, the Gran Hotel Elba Estepona is just 43km from Gibraltar and 97km from Malaga. All the hotel rooms overlook the pool and beach and have wonderful sea views with the Rock of Gibraltar visible in the distance. The morning sunrise over the water is a spectacle to behold.

The Beach

The beach directly in front of the hotel is textile but we have included in our prices, day passes to Costa Natura naturist resort next door where guests may use the naturist beach, the pool, the sunbathing terraces, the gardens, the restaurant, and the beach bar. Umbrellas and loungers are available to rent on Costa Natura’s beach and from lunchtime the beach bar serves tapas, freshly pressed juices and other drinks whilst the restaurant serves a complete range of meals, snacks and drinks.

Naturism at Costa Natura

The Gran Hotel Elba Estepona is a 100% textile hotel. We have arranged for Peng guests to have rooms with closed-side balconies so they may enjoy the sun naked in the privacy of their own balcony. Day passes to Costa Natura naturist resort next door are also included in Peng holiday prices. Nudity is allowed and encouraged throughout Costa Natura and is compulsory in and around the pool and on the beach.

Food & Drink

There are four main dining options at Gran Hotel Elba Estepona, all with outdoor terraces enjoying a sea view. The Arena Beach restaurant has a grand buffet service for breakfast and lunch and, during the high season, also serves dinner. In the evening, three gastronomic restaurants open their doors to discerning diners. Residents on half board have a dedicated menu choice (or sometimes a buffet) in the gastronomic restaurants and may pay a supplement for a la carte dishes. Restaurant Paris-Roma serves French and Italian cuisine with a wine cellar to match plus a special range of low calorie meals. Al Andaluz in typical Castillian décor offers classic Spanish dining and fine national wines. A wide range of superior Asian style dishes including Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Thai are served in the sharply smart Asia Fusion restaurant. 24 hour room service also offers a good selection of snacks, meals and drinks.

Facilities

There’s an attractive main pool with pool bar and sunbathing terraces as well as a separate shallow pool for children and a good size indoor pool. There’s a 24 hour reception and bell hop and a reading gallery on the first floor overlooking the main entrance hall which enjoys wonderful sea views. Here, there are public computers with free internet access and TV. In the lobby there is a newspaper kiosk, a hairdressing salon, lifts and a desk for booking tee times at one of the many top golf courses in the area. There’s a first rate fitness centre with an excellent range of modern equipment. The hotel’s own full thalassotherapy centre and spa offers a huge variety of therapeutic possibilities and luxurious beauty treatments in refined surroundings. Guests staying for more than four nights are entitled to one free entry to the main thalasso circuit.

Activities

There are no organized activities at the hotel thus ensuring a very relaxed atmosphere. The hotel can however arrange a variety of pursuits and pastimes in the surrounding area – golf, sailing, fishing, watersports, horseriding, flamenco classes, excursions to Granada, Seville, Gibraltar, Jerez, Tangiers, Ronda and Marbella. Many of the golf courses on the Costa del Sol are world renowned – of the 35 in the area, the nearest are at Estepona, El Pariaso and Sotogrande, each a 20 minute drive away.
