Naturist Holidays
In recent years, naturists – as opposed to ‘textile’ (or clothed) – tourism in Europe has grown dramatically. More and more people enjoy sunbathing, swimming and playing in total nudity and returning home with a healthy all-over tan.
These days there are hundreds of thousands of naturists in Britain and as many as 20-25 million live on the Continent. With this increasing demand has come the growth of specialist naturist holiday resorts, run with the full consent and protection of the local governments. If you are thinking of taking the plunge into naturism, we can’t imagine a better (or safer) way of doing it than by taking a Peng holiday.
How compulsory is nudity? You have chosen to take a naturist holiday and, weather permitting, most resorts expect you to be naked, at least during the day. Policies vary from resort to resort – some have a dawn to dusk policy, others confine nudity to the outdoors. Nudity is obligatory at all resorts to use naturist pools, naturist sunbathing facilities and naturist beaches. People usually dress to eat at an indoor restaurant and often for dinner in the evening. You will find a short paragraph about the extent of nudity at your chosen resort on the relevant page of our website.
INF passports We don’t require you to have an INF Passport and, for our holidays, only the Aphrodite resort does.
Adults-only resorts The Mexican resorts of Hidden Beach and Desire and the Jamaican resorts of Grand Lido Braco and Hedonism II and III are all Adults only resorts. At Cap d’Agde, Jardin de Babylone & Jardin d’Eden are both Adults-only.
Family holidays Most resorts featured in this brochure (except those in Jamaica and Mexico) welcome families. For details of family facilities, please see the resort pages..
Taking infants on holiday Travel arrangements for infants under two years on the day of homeward travel are free, except for a £30 administration fee on holidays by air. Nominal charges for cot hire and/or food are payable direct at the resort.
Single people Single people are very welcome on our holidays. Single rooms are available at many of our resorts, and twin accommodation can also be booked for sole use at the appropriate supplements. Alternatively, consider a Peng group holiday (see below). Vera Playa in Spain, Vritomartis in Crete and Koversada in Croatia all offer ‘No Single Supplement’ on selected dates through the season..
Group holidays for single people We have two holiday departures a year intended for singles and first-time naturists. On these you know that you don’t intrude when you approach other group members for company. And when you go for a swim or a walk along the beach, you can confidently ask fellow group members to look after your belongings.
For 2010, back by popular demand is Vera Playa. This holiday is available on a half, full or all-inclusive board basis. Details of the second group trip will be announced in the New Year.

Peng Reunions
We hold a reunion weekend in February each year for Peng holidaymakers. For 2010 it is taking place in Bournemouth on February 5- 7. It’s a great way to renew old friendships and make new ones! A leaflet is available on request.

Vacation of Accommodation
It is standard international practice to let rooms from midday to midday. However times do vary. Check-in times are usually between 15:00 and 17:00, checkout times between 10:00 and 12:00 noon on the day of departure. Therefore, if you check-in immediately after a night flight this would normally count as one night's accommodation. Similarly if your return flight is at night you will normally be required to vacate your room at 12 noon prior to leaving for the airport. A late check out may be possible – depending on whether or not your room is required for another arrival that day. There is likely to be a cost for this and it should be arranged locally with the accommodation management.

Foreign Office Travel Advice
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office Travel Advice Unit may have issued information about your destination. You are advised to check this information on BBC2 Ceefax (page 470), their website at www.fco.gov.uk or phone on 0845 850 2829.

Health Requirements
For up to date information to any of our destinations please check the Department of Health website http://www.dh.gov.uk/PolicyAndGuidance/HealthAdviceForTravellers/fs/en or telephone 0207 210 4850 for the free leaflet `Health Advice for Travellers' also available from your General Practitioner and the Post Office.

Important changes to your right to holiday health care in Europe
If you are a UK resident you are entitled to free, or reduced cost, state provided healthcare when visiting a European Union (EU) country, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway or Switzerland. However, to be covered you will need a new European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which you can apply for, free of charge, from your nearest Post Office. You will only need to complete one application form in order to receive EHICs for you, your spouse/partner and children. The European Health Insurance Card should be obtained in addition to your travel insurance.
The application form and the booklet "Health Advice for Travellers" can be obtained from the Post Office. Forms are also available to download from the Department of Health's website: www.dh.gov.uk/travellers

Passport requirements
You should hold a valid ten year passport, ideally with at least six months left to run (essential for the United States). The UK Passport Service will be introducing a biometric passport which will be issued upon application for a new or replacement passport. If you need to apply for a new or replacement passport, we recommend that you do so at least 12 weeks prior to your departure, although the UK Passport Office aims to make passports available at short notice. First time passport applicants over the age of 16 years may be required to attend an interview as part of the application procedure. Children, including babies, who are not already included on a valid ten year passport, will need to have their own passport if they are to travel abroad. It is now not possible to add or include children on British passports. Children who are already included on an exisiting passport may continue to travel with the passport holder until either the child reaches the age of 16, or the passport on which the child is included expires or needs to be amended. Children aged 16 and over already have to hold their own passport and are not affected by these changes. For more information on UK passport requirements please visit http://www.ukpa.gov.uk

Visa Requirements
If you hold a non UK passport, please check with the consulate or embassy of your destination country.

Single Travellers & Under-Occupancy
Those of you who are single travellers or who wish to occupy accommodation with fewer people than the number shown on the price panel may feel that the cost per person of your holiday appears higher than it should be. The reason for this supplement is that our contract with the owners is based on a price per room while our holidays are sold per person, including flights and other elements. Therefore the per person price for a lone traveller includes the entire room cost. This applies both to single rooms in hotels and self-catering units where, for example, three people may want to occupy accommodation usually sold for four and priced accordingly. We do not make additional or excessive profits from these sales, the prices charged merely reflect the real cost to us. In some hotels there are rooms that are designed for single occupancy only. In this instance there will normally be a supplement but usually less than when a single person occupies a double room. These single rooms are often smaller and sometimes less well appointed. We do not know which room you will be given as your hotel will usually decide this shortly before you arrive.
